Ira Wishe

With the acquisition and integration of Benefit Street Partners (BSP), Franklin Templeton has further expanded its range of alternative credit solutions for institutional clients. Ira Wishe is a managing director and chief operating officer of private debt at Benefit Street Partners and is based in our New York office.
Prior to joining BSP, Mr. Wishe was the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of BDCA Adviser, LLC where he oversaw Portfolio Management, Trading and Operations. Prior to BDCA, he was an investment analyst at MKP Capital, LLC focusing on the firm's investments in high yield and investment grade companies, and CLOs. His role was to generate trade recommendations by performing fundamental and relative value credit analysis. Prior to MKP, Mr. Wishe was a research analyst/trader at Tricadia Capital as part of a team that managed two CLOs investing in corporate bank debt with a focus on middle market companies. Before Tricadia, he was employed by Deloitte & Touche performing audit and consulting work for clients in the asset management/hedge fund industry. While at Deloitte, he was selected to be financially sponsored to attend the Executive MBA Program at the Stern School of Business at New York University. He received a Bachelor of Science from Binghamton University
