Rudi Zagst is professor and director of the Chair for Financial Mathematics, and director of ERGO - Center of Excellence in Insurance - at the technical university in Munich (TUM). He works as a consultant and professional trainer for a series of leading institutes.
His actual main researches are the areas of Financial Engineering, Risk- and Asset- Management.
In 2007, the magazine Unicum Beruf awarded Prof. Zagst as “Professor of the year 2007”, in order to reward him for his engagement in teaching students in step with actual practice.
Prof. Zagst has published over 100 economic publications and is author/ co-author of the following books: „Interest Rate Management“, „Zertifikate spielend beherrschen“, „Zu nah an der Sonne – Die größten Pleiten der Finanzgeschichte“, „Alternative Assets and Strategies“, „Responsible Investing – Verantwortlich Investieren“, „Innovations in Quantitative Risk Management“ und „Innovations in Derivatives Markets – Fixed Income Modeling, Valuation Adjustments, Risk Management, and Regulation“.
Prof. Zagst has already realized several teaching assignments at the universities in Augsburg, Singapore, St. Gallen, Toronto and Ulm.
Since 2004, he is executive vice-president of the elite program “Finance & Information Management”, which is provided by the university Augsburg and university Bayreuth in cooperation with the TUM in Munich.
