Felix Schmidt joined IFM Investors in 2014 and is responsible for the origination and execution of infrastructure investments, along with the ongoing management of assets. During his time at IFM, Felix has worked on numerous successful transactions including the formation of fibre-to-the-home joint-venture GlasfaserPlus with Deutsche Telekom (Germany), the divestment of 50Hertz Transmission (Germany), the take-private of Buckeye Partners (USA) and the acquisition of a stake in Vienna Airport (Austria).
Felix is a board member of GlasfaserPlus and is leading IFM’s asset management activities for the asset.
Before he joined IFM, Felix worked for MEAG, the asset manager of Munich Re and Ergo insurance, on infrastructure and renewables investments.
Felix holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) from the University of Bonn and a Master of Finance (Project Finance; summa cum laude) from SciencesPo Paris.
